This beautifully recreated 1920s village is now open for the summer season with free admission. Why not take advantage of this seasonal opportunity?

The village has restored heritage buildings and replicas, from a barber shop to a grocery store, a school, a steam shed, and a carousel, recreating the atmosphere of a village from a century ago. It will be an interesting sketching subject and we can get a glimpse into history too. The village being located at the picturesque Deer Lake Park, you can also find other things to sketch such as Deer Lake, people having a picnic at the park and some interesting architecture in the vicinity.

How to Get There:

- Public transit
If you take the Expo line, you can take #144 bus from Metrotown Station and get off at Southbound Sperling Ave @ Canada Way, or take #133 bus from Edmonds Station and get off at WB Canada Way @ Sperling Ave. You could also take #133 or #144 from Holdum Station in the reverse direction (get off at EB Canada Way @ Sperling Ave or Southbound Deer Lake Ave @ Shadbolt Centre, respectively). #123 bus from Brentwood also will drop you off at EB Canada Way @ Sperling Ave.
